Furthermore I had a long time desire to try out a tubed clock. And voila, I cannot think the sound without it. The tube clock fills the gap of making the digital sound analogue TT like- free of any residual mechanics!
After some experimentation with your first clock I found that the sound improved dramatically after changing all the capacitors to BG and silver mica plus swapping the resistor for a choke making the power supplies CLC instead CRC.
Now since I got your latest clock I was thinking to apply the same concept.
However I was thinking to substitute the output transformer with a silver wound toroidal core.
The current trafo looks like step down. Is this correct and what ratio is it?
Kind regards
